Crock-Pot: 3-Ingredient Pot Roast

By  |

If you’re only going to try one of my simple crock-pot recipes, then make it be this 3-Ingredient Pot Roast! It is BY FAR my absolute favorite to date! Crock-Pot meals are so easy and hassle free, but this one tastes like you spent hours on it. With 3 main ingredients, it’s a time saver as well as super affordable. I would give it 11 out of 10 stars; Highest recommendation!

3-Ingredient Pot Roast (Serves 2)

What you need:

  • 1 Pound of Top Round Steak or any lean red meat.
  • 2 Cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup (Makes extra gravy for Mashed Taters!)
  • 1 Packet of Onion Soup Mix
  • 3/4 Cup Water
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste (I just add a dash of each. The mushroom soup/onion soup mix make it salty enough.)

Note: I’ve made 2 pounds before just so we can eat it for a second night in a row. If you’re 2 adults with 2 kids, 2 pounds would be plenty for a single night’s dinner.

What you do:

All that you need to do is cut the steak into palm size pieces and dump everything into the Crock-Pot. Set it on High for 4-5 hours and it should fall apart with a fork.

Side Items:

So for the side, I’ve been serving it with mashed potatoes because I’m pretty sure that Mike would live off of just those if he could! Some steamed broccoli also pairs really well with it. Eat the meat, potatoes and broccoli together for a down-home, well rounded meal. Here’s a little picture below. I went a little crazy with the gravy… 😉 I’m pretty sure I’d just drink it if I could!

Are you going to try it?

I really, really, REALLY hope that you do! I told Mike that I could eat it every night and he agreed! It’s THAT good. Let me know what you think WHEN you try it 🙂 I’d love to hear about it. If you have any questions, as always, feel free to ask!

Until next time…
