Total Body Workout Challenge!

By  |

Hey there! Boy have I been itching to get a new post published! I ended up with a little bit of free time yesterday, so I wrote up a new workout challenge for you. This total-body workout challenge is one that you can do with your friends, family or even on your own! I for one, love having a workout partner… I think it makes me work harder.

This challenge is designed for just about anyone, all that you need is a piece of paper with a pen (to keep track of the amount of reps that you were able to complete), a bench/sturdy chair/coffee table and a pair of moderately heavy dumbbells. You can go at your own pace, or you can really push it! The total-body workout challenge is fun, challenging  and will leave you feeling totally energized!

How to:

The purpose of this workout is to make you sweat and give you an overall body burn! You will perform each exercise for 1 minute, completing as many reps as possible in that minute. Make a note of how many you got! Immediately move to the next exercise. Your challengers can either perform the exercises simultaneously, or you can switch off if you want to use that time as a rest period. I know that you’ll want to move quickly but it is imperative that you use proper form throughout the entire routine!

You can perform 1, 2 or even 3 rounds of this workout depending on your fitness level.

Fun. Fit. Fabulous.

How do you feel? Who got the most reps? Did you win?! Winner gets bragging rights! Is it time for a rematch? 😉

When workouts are fun and engaging, we’re way more likely to stick to the program long term! If you get through the first round without feeling too winded, go for round two and step it up! Use heavier weights, squat deeper and pick up the pace! You can do this!

Until next time…

I absolutely loved it, but once we moved across the country to Colorado, I decided to take the opportunity to pursue a slightly different career! My obsession with exercise and love for writing collided, which is how I became a fitness lifestyle writer.
